1. What's the difference between the Standard hiking bucket and the Expedition hiking bucket?

Answer: Great question, the differences lie in the details. The Expedition bucket does not have the word “Standard” printed on it in red. Instead, it has the word “Expedition” printed prominently on it. And, the lettering is in a bold blue color, thus helping you to stand out from the crowd. In addition, we have carefully selected a more sophisticated font style (Aptos) for the Expedition bucket, whereas our Standard bucket sports a much more casual font type (Georgia).

2. Why do your hiking buckets have no straps?

Answer: We are not sell-outs. We believe in the authenticity of a true hiking experience. Our buckets pay homage to the original design, which was strapless - just like the pioneers.

3. How do I know what size bucket to buy?

Answer: We have done all the research for you. Through our research, we have found that the 5-gallon size is perfect for almost every scenario. While others may claim that bucket sizes of up to 30 gallons can easily haul all your gear, we have found those to be bulky and difficult to hike any reasonable distance with. Likewise, the small ½ gallon buckets that are sold online by others can require many trips back-and-forth in order to move all of your gear.

4. What makes your hiking bucket special?

Answer: Our hiking buckets are not just buckets they're a symbol of adventure designed with practicality in mind, offering many features that are simply not found in conventional backpacks. They are perfect for any hiking or outdoor experience.

5. Can I use my bucket for something other than hiking?

Answer: While our buckets are extremely durable and designed to handle the raw elements of nature, attempting to use your hiking bucket for something other than hiking would be an off-label use. And, because it is impossible to envisage all of the unknowns that could be encountered in any such situation, unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

6. Are the buckets waterproof?

Answer: We've never had a problem with water getting inside of our buckets - except when they are full of water.

7. Can I really take my bucket on a mountain expedition?

Answer: If your bucket is labeled as an “Expedition” hiking bucket, then absolutely. In fact, that is the entire reason we developed our Expedition hiking bucket – it’s the perfect companion for those looking to challenge themselves on expeditions.

8. Why are the shipping costs so high?

Answer: Shipping costs are based on a combination of factors, including bucket size and weight.

9. How do I clean my hiking bucket after a long day of hiking?

Answer: It’s easy. Just rinse it out with water and give it a good scrub if you're feeling fancy you can even add a touch of soap though it's not necessary unless you've been hauling some particularly pungent items and always make sure to dry it out fully so that it's ready for your next adventure.

10. Can I personalize my hiking bucket with my name or initials?

Answer: While we do not encourage people to attempt to paint or carve their names or initials directly on their hiking bucket, we do offer customizable name tags that you can attach to your bucket. They are perfect for showing off your personal flair or helping to avoid any mix-ups when congregating with large groups of hiking bucket enthusiasts.

11. What if my bucket gets damaged?

Answer: We hope that never happens but if it does, don't panic. Our buckets are sturdy and while they might take a beating on your epic hikes we're happy to guide you through repairs or help you find a replacement if needed.

12. Are your buckets designed for both beginners and experienced hikers?

Answer: Absolutely! Whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned mountain conqueror, our hiking buckets are the perfect tool for the job - just be sure to lift with your legs, not your back. These buckets might be light in price but they are heavy in character.

13. What is the return policy for my hiking bucket?

Answer: We are confident that you'll love your hiking bucket, but if for some reason you are not, you can ship it back to us within 30 days for a store credit (minus a modest restocking fee).

14. Do you offer any discounts for bulk purchases?
